Did you know that Jalebi is derived from the word Zulabiya in Arabic and Zalibiya in Persian where they have a similar dish. It was brought to Medieval India by Persian speaking invaders.
It is also consumed in Bangladesh where it is called Jilapi and in Nepal where it is called Jeri!
