Adding Dimensions: Over the years, various dimensions are being added to the DIPEX. In 1996 a similar competition of working models was initiated for degree engineering students as a part of DIPEX. To widen the horizon of DIPEX, various sections involving students of IIT's, post graduate science faculty, agricultural colleges and universities a new section "Shodh", for innovative ideas,and for experiments in nonconventional renewable energy sources, have been added over the years. Along with this exhibition cm competition part of Dipex, various seminars have been organised to guide students about future scope and requirement in various fields like Reverse Engineering, Entrepreneurship Development, Information Technology, Agriculture, Appropriate Technology etc. "SRIJAN"- A DIPEX centre for Entrepreneurship Development was established in DIPEX 1996 to cater the need of guidance and inputs for self-employment among youths. Thus DIPEX has played a key role to develop much needed link between industry & academic institutions. academic atmosphere by engaging against issues that prevent the same.
