What if your first big summit wasn’t “one day,” but this year?

We have seen this happen more times than you’d think. People come in unsure, a little nervous, sometimes not even knowing if they are “ready” for something this big. And then somewhere along the way, with the right support and the right push, it starts to feel possible.

That is what these climbs are really about. Not just ticking off a peak, but giving yourself a shot at something that has probably been sitting in the back of your mind for too long.

If Kilimanjaro, Lobuche, Island Peak, Mera Peak or Kang Yatse II has been on your list, maybe this is the year you stop waiting around and start planning for it.

Comment “Climb” and we will send you the upcoming expedition details.

10 things we tell every trekker before they sign up for Kilimanjaro.

1. It is not a technical climb, but it is still a serious high altitude trek that will test your stamina and resilience. With the right preparation and mindset, you can absolutely take it on even if you are not a mountaineer.

2. Altitude is the real challenge, more than the distance on paper. That is why we plan our days around gradual height gain so your body has time to adjust.

3. Choosing the right route gives you a better chance to acclimatize well. At Adventure Pulse we prefer slightly longer itineraries that gently ease you towards the summit instead of rushing you.

4. Our guides keep saying “pole pole” which means “slowly slowly” in Swahili, and we really mean it. A slow, steady pace helps your body cope with altitude and keeps your energy strong through the day.

5. Summit night is cold, dark and demanding, but it is also the most rewarding few hours of the trek. We support you with careful pacing, warm layers advice and constant check ins so you are never doing it alone.

6. On one climb you move through farmland, rainforest, moorland, alpine desert and an arctic summit. Watching these five climate zones change under your feet is one of the most unique parts of Kilimanjaro.

7. We always ask trekkers to break in their boots well before the trip. Comfortable, tested footwear can be the difference between enjoying each day and counting every step.

8. Hydration and food are non negotiable for us on the mountain. Drinking regularly and eating enough keeps your energy steady and helps your body handle the altitude better.

9. We recommend starting training early with hill walks, stair climbs and loaded hikes. Arriving with stronger legs, lungs and core means you can focus on the experience, not just surviving each day.

10. For every Adventure Pulse climb, reaching the summit is a goal, but coming back safely is the rule. Listening to your body and making smart decisions is what truly makes a successful expedition.

Kilimanjaro responds really well to patience, preparation and respect, and that is exactly how we like to climb it at Adventure Pulse.
