A journey from a TEMP AGENCY to a KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT PARTNER.

If you want to transform who you are, begin small and know the power of starting small later on.

In my early days, I used to develop and deploy temp resources in support of a strategy consultant (however still doing it with more agility). Our temp resources are used to engage in various kinds of activities while directly working with the case team including the collection of data in the local market offline/online.

We become confident while directly working on multiple strategic assignments at CLIENT SITE. Such engagement gave me the understanding of how we can reduce their stress in acquiring external knowledge and information with more agility.

On the behalf of practice team of the major strategy consulting firm, NOW we are also responsible for developing and executing a full-fledged Market Research Project.

Working directly with the consulting team gave us a lot of understanding of how strategy consulting firms work on tough deadlines with the highest quality of deliverables. It helps me to design the process around knowledge management.

The first is always special. Be it your first salary or your first client and first business too.

I had to spend from my pocket to complete my 1st industrial project. Based on requirements, I came up with a roadmap. Being a beginner, had no idea of how to negotiate with a client. The client agreed without negotiation. And I had that feeling of being on top of the world. That was a proud moment for me.

However, little did I know that I had made a huge mistake. Got aware, after completion of 30-40% of the project, I am going to surpass almost 40% of the cost of the project.

All the money that client paid has already been exhausted. I had no idea how to keep things moving. That project cost me a lot of money.

But the client really liked our work and I was happy that I executed it successfully.

I become confident about our *****ON capabilities. It helped me to on these intangible gains for my modest success so far.

You know, sometimes, it is okay to face some loss for a bigger gain. You have to change your mindset and look at the intangible gains.

Next time before quitting, reanalyze how we can make things better with what we already have.

My journey began with my .

My startup did not come out of brilliant ideas, conscious efforts, and structured thinking.

I wanted to work for and investment banking firms. Later I realized that I can’t get into such a role because of various factors.

I was jobless and was doing nothing 'productive' for more than 2-3 months.

I had pressure to get a job to live in Pune as my parents will stop sending money.

One fine day, one of the friends got an inquiry about a survey project from a contact in a local agency to carry Auto dealers' interviews across Maharashtra. He discussed with me and I said yes immediately for a contract job. We delivered the project successfully and earned a good amount of money. But we had no clue how to go ahead. This role me into what I am .

I started searching for a and got it after a couple of . During my job, I got deployed at the client site for a research consulting role.

However, got laid-off after a couple of years because the client withdrew . That was a painful and embarrassing feeling.

Today I started my day with a fascinating story about a fruit vendor who employed an ingenious marketing method to sell his fruits. That was justified or not but he saved his customer base.

Such MIS-SELLING happens every day.

A fruit vendor who guaranteed that the watermelon he sold to his customer would be red and sweet and that if that did not happen, he can return the fruit. After a few hours, the buyer returned, furious and disappointed, claiming that the melon was neither delicious nor red. There were many other customers in the shop at the time, but the fruit salesman responded with a smile, stating that those were the sugar-free and pricey melons he had purchased exclusively, which had been supplied to him by mistake. With a sigh of relief on his face, the customer inquired calmly if those melons may be kept by him if he pays the additional amount.

We could notice both positive and negative aspects of the given story. If we look at this materialistically, the customer has been fooled. But we can't deny the satisfaction level, after a changed narrative, on the customer's face when taught that those were rare fruits that he bought for a very low price.

Customer happiness is always a significant factor in marketing, regardless of how you grow your sales.
