After an 8-year delay, the Balewadi–Wakad bridge project is moving forward as the District Collector issued a land acquisition notification for the pending approach road in Baner. Following a Bombay High Court order, the PMC has one year from Feb 2026 to complete the 30-metre road, finally connecting Wakad (PCMC) to Balewadi.
