Varad Kunte - Philately

A very happy 'World Post Day' to everyone. I would like to share a very interesting experience from October 2020. One of my friends from Germany Mr. Moritz Traub wanted to experiment with sending a postcard within India with address written on it in a different language and posting it from a different place (where PO staff won't understand that language). He insisted to me, to send a postcard to Nilotpal Sarkar, West Bengal having address written in Bengali (though I wasn't able to write in Bengali)! I agreed to be a part of the experiment and wrote the same address, in the same font as could see in the message which he shared on the messenger app. I mailed the postcard on 17th of October 2020 from a post office in Pune. Deliberately, I wrote the sender's address i.e. mine (Varad Kunte) in Marathi language and the recipient's address in Bengali language. You can also see the drawing done by me that time. The card successfully reached its destination within a week or so. We all were very happy with this experiment.
