*POONCH, MAY 27:* Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated across Poonch district with great religious fervour, enthusiasm and communal harmony.

On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Shafqat Hussain Bhat along with officers from Police and Civil Administration, religious heads, prominent citizens and members of the public gathered at the Eidgah to participate in the celebrations and extend festive greetings.

The dignitaries interacted with the people and exchanged warm Eid greetings. Sweets were distributed among the attendees, symbolising the spirit of brotherhood, love and unity. The atmosphere at the Eidgah reflected communal harmony and togetherness as people embraced one another and celebrated the festival with joy and happiness.

Special Eid prayers were offered at the Eidgah where a large number of devotees from various villages and areas of Poonch district participated with religious devotion. After offering prayers, people greeted each other and prayed for prosperity, peace and well-being of the society.

Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma and SSP Poonch Shafqat Hussain Bhat extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the people and prayed for lasting peace, communal harmony and prosperity in the district. They also appreciated the spirit of unity and brotherhood displayed by the people during the celebrations.

The festival was concluded peacefully with people celebrating the occasion in a spirit of mutual respect, harmony and happiness.
