25-10-2025, Nahay Khay is the first day of Chaiti Chhath Puja, a festival that starts with devotees taking a holy bath and consuming a special, clean meal to purify themselves for the days ahead. This ritual involves a dip in a sacred river or pond, after which the person brings the sacred water home and prepares a meal like kaddu-bhat (pumkin rice) with lentils and no onion or garlic.
