26-10-2025,Today is second day of Chhath Puja, known as Kharna. On this day, devotees observe a fast from sunrise to sunset, abstaining from both food and water. The fast is broken only after making offerings to the Sun God at sunset.

25-10-2025, Nahay Khay is the first day of Chhath Puja, a festival that starts with devotees taking a holy bath and consuming a special, clean meal to purify themselves for the days ahead. This ritual involves a dip in a sacred river or pond, after which the person brings the sacred water home and prepares a meal like kaddu-bhat (pumkin rice) with lentils and no onion or garlic. The ritual marks the beginning of the four-day festival.
