IEEE Student Chapter,BIT Patna was formed on 23 November 2009 with active cooperation from students and the effective guidance of the faculty advisors. Om Prakash became the first Chairman of the student chapter. He was a central figure of IEEE BIT Patna from 2009 to 2011. IEEE student chapter provides a local forum for its members to meet and exchange views on technical, educational and professional interest.It encourages students involvement in professional activities. On a higher level, the chapter offers a medium for the student's to establish communication with representatives of government, national and international organizations. The chapter has recieved a tremendous response from students community and has provided them with a platform for growth and development.
