Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Samrat Choudhary, who served as deputy chief minister in Nitish Kumar government, is set to become the new Chief Minister of Bihar. Choudhary was elected leader of the BJP legislature party in the state on April 14 following the resignation of Nitish Kumar. He is expected to take oath as Bihar CM on Wednesday (April 15), becoming the first BJP leader to hold the post in the state.
