🍃 The Sound of a Dream: How Kudil Was Born
They say the forest speaks to those who listen. For me, that voice sounded like a woodcutter’s machine on a humid Sunday morning in May 2017.
I was driving through Kokkathodu, navigating the curves of an old Tara road that felt like it belonged to another century. I had passed this way twice before, but on the third trip, something shifted. The hum of a machine echoed through the thick canopy, and instead of driving on, I pulled over.
I stepped off the pavement and into the wild.
I hiked through the dense green, following the sound until the trees suddenly gave way to a hidden sanctuary. A mirror-still stream, ancient mossy stones, and the deep, breathing silence of the jungle. I saw the man in the distance—the guardian of this quiet corner—and I knew instantly.
This wasn't just land. This was a destination.
I didn't buy a plot of earth that day; I bought a vision. I looked at those towering trees and didn't see timber—I saw a home in the clouds. I saw Kudil Treehouse.
It’s been a long journey from that first step into the brush to the sanctuary that stands there today. But it all started with a turn of the wheel, a walk into the woods, and a promise made to a stream.
