NEET-UG Crisis: Death of Goa Student Exposes Institutional Failure
SIO Goa Zone expresses deep grief over the tragic death of a 17-year-old NEET aspirant from Curtorim, Goa, reportedly linked to the stress and uncertainty caused by the cancellation and rescheduling of NEET-UG 2026. This incident exposes the devastating human cost of the repeated failures of the NTA, the Education Ministry, and the Union Government in ensuring a fair and credible examination system.
The organisation strongly condemns this institutional failure and demands immediate accountability, a transparent investigation, and urgent reforms to prevent such incidents from recurring. Students’ lives and futures cannot be compromised due to administrative negligence and the collapse of trust in the examination system.
