7 AM on June 22, 2025, here in Haryana, and the air is thick with this appalling smog. These fields are clearly prepared for paddy; there is no question of stubble burning today. So, to those in Delhi, quick to scapegoat farmers: What's the narrative now? Where does the blame shift?
If this is the "development" we're offered, we unequivocally reject it. Why are we fixated on BS6/BS7 norms, copying others, while industries spew unchecked pollution, degrading our air quality day by day? Where are the strict regulations for them? This chronic atmospheric toxicity is not a "new normal" we will internalize. The time for real questions, and real solutions, is long overdue.
