As a part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, attended the Women’s Day programme organised by the Goa Football Development Council at its Corlim Centre on 12th March 2026. The programme featured kit distribution to trainees, felicitation of achievers, and a women’s football match, highlighting the growing enthusiasm and participation of women in the sport.

The event also included prize distribution for participants and winners, encouraging young players to pursue football with dedication and confidence while celebrating the spirit of women’s empowerment through sports.

Present were Shri Dhaku Madkaikar, Vice Chairman of GFDC, Smt. Fransquinha Oliveira, Member Secretary, Shri Ryan Cardoso, Portais Club President, Smt. Elizabeth Veigas, Centre Head, Smt. Lenita Pereira, Consultative Committee Head, other GFDC members and special invitees.

Held the first council meeting as the Chairman of Goa Football Development Council (GFDC), with focused discussions on strengthening grassroots football, upgrading infrastructure, and improving coaching standards across Goa.

The meeting reviewed plans for appointing a Technical Director, conducting regular coach development programmes, and establishing North and South academies to support structured and inclusive football growth in the state.
