The inauguration of the 4th branch of The Pissurlem Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. at Parye, Sattari marks a meaningful milestone in the journey towards stronger community development and financial empowerment.

For years, cooperative institutions have played an important role in supporting the dreams and aspirations of local communities — providing people with not just banking services, but also a sense of trust, security, and stability. The opening of this new branch stands as another step in that direction, bringing accessible and dependable financial services closer to the people of the region.

From supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs to encouraging savings, financial planning, and economic growth, this initiative aims to create opportunities that positively impact countless families and individuals. It reflects a vision where progress is not measured only through infrastructure, but through the empowerment and upliftment of every member of the community.

As Parye and the surrounding areas continue to grow, institutions like The Pissurlem Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. become pillars of support that contribute towards building a stronger, more self-reliant, and financially secure future for all.

Delivering Development | Delivering Inclusion

Development becomes meaningful when it reaches those who need it the most.

In Honda Panchayat, specially fitted side-wheel scooters were distributed to persons with disabilities, enabling safer mobility, greater independence, and renewed confidence in everyday life.

Along with this initiative, assistive aids and appliances have now been provided to 100+ beneficiaries across the Poriem Constituency, ensuring access, dignity, and equal opportunity for all.

Supported through the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) and funded by the North Goa District Mineral Foundation (NGDMF), this effort reflects a continued commitment to building an inclusive and compassionate society — where progress truly belongs to everyone.

Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Shri Nasir Khan, former VMC Councillor and a committed karyakarta who dedicated himself to public service with sincerity and humility. His warmth, dedication and close bond with the people earned him immense respect in the community.

My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and all those grieving this loss. Praying for strength and peace during this difficult time.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti
