AIDS or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is a sexually transmitted disease which is the late stage of HIV infection that occurs when the body’s immune system is badly damaged because of the virus. It was first detected in India in 1986 in Chennai. Today, with an estimated 5.134 million infections, India is home to the second largest population of people living with HIV AIDS. There is a dire need to spread awareness about this to save lives! And making youths aware is exactly what our organisation aims to do.
