WHY ANISHKA COMMUNICATION:
The need to form a PR firm instead of joining the existing agencies was felt as we, the media professionals at Anishka Communication, did not want to get back to the binary system of public relations that currently exists in India. We wanted to take the plunge, create a new system where we could experiment, and deliever with our convictions and creativity, thereby giving enough space for improvisation based on the specific needs of our clients. We specifically wanted to cater to the needs of individuals and organizations that believe in taking their meaningful work to the media, and yet lack the expertise and network to do so. We also wanted to create a pool of intellectual and information wealth by creating opportunities for one and many and our initial projects stand testimony to the success that we have attained so far in leveraging the talent pool we have access to. As a team, Anishka Communication consists of public relations specialists who prefer to be called Opinion Influencers. We understand the nature of the job at hand as few in the sector do. India's biggest publisher Rajkamal Prakashan told us that they will be publishing a book on Sarabjit Singh written by Awais Seikh his lawyer in Pakistan. They asked us if it would be be possible to use the book release platform to launch ‘Free Sarabjit campaign’. Such a thought by a publisher was in itself beautiful. So we planned the campaign. Blueprint for the release of the book was drawn and five cities Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna and Kolkata were selected for the release. At a time when fringe elements were working overtime to create tension between India and Pakistan, we along with Awais Sheikh and Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur went on a campaign from Chandigarh to Kolkata. Open discussions were organised with leading newspapers. Regional TV channels were convinced to hold debates. In tension filled atmosphere we tried to send out message of tolerance and peace. Save Ganga Campaign

Ganga, lifeline to 410 million people in India, is in danger of being extinct. There are many dedicated people who are working day in and day out to resolve the crisis. Whenever we have got a chance we have done our part by helping these groups organise press conferences and we have made sure that their concern and message reaches the majority. We will continue to do it in future also. We are working on an ambitious campaign on Ganga. If all works out well, we will launch it very soon.
