Meet Aanchal! A student at Barkat who impressed our teachers with her exceptional grasping power and keen interest in studying. Belonging to an underprivileged family, with her father working as a day labour and her mother working as a household help, Aanchal did not go to a school. As part of our “Vidya” project, we decided to send Aanchal to a proper private school. Green valley school is the best school in the local community and have been gracious enough to subsidise their fees. Aanchal’s education has been adopted by Mrs. Priyanka. She has very gracefully decided to pay for Aanchal’s school tuition along with her books and uniform as well. An admit in the first class, Aanchal has been performing exceptionally well in her exams and is even made class monitor due to her calm and obedient behaviour. We wish to empower more such girls so that they achieve their dreams!

Msc students of Amity University conducted a sustainability class at Sultanpur Branch of Barkat Today.
They interacted with the children, explained them various concepts and conducted a lot of activities.
