Noida Authority's upcoming board meeting will focus on its budget and a new mixed land use property scheme. A key discussion point will be the Centre of Excellence at Gautam Buddha University, with a decision pending on whether it will research semiconductors or stem cells. The Authority plans to increase land rates and its budget this year.

𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐚: Noida Authority's board meeting next week will discuss its budget and consider approval for key projects, including a proposed 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐡𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐆𝐁𝐔). The Authority is also set to discuss the launch of a mixed land-use property scheme

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞, the Authority is set to finalise the 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬, 𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The Authority will also 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 set to come up at GBU, with discussions focusing on whether the centre will be aimed at conducting research on semiconductors or stem cells. "This will be discussed and finalised in the board meeting next week," said Noida 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐡.

Officials said the initiative will strengthen the research ecosystem in the university and help position Noida as a hub for high-end scientific development. The university will manage the project while the Authority will fund it. 𝐆𝐁𝐔, which first opened its door to students in 2008, is fully funded by the 𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.
