Since its inception the gallery has been working towards creating opportunities for young Indian artists to hone their talents and showcase their art. It is the gallery’s ongoing endeavor to act as a medium to increase awareness, understanding and appreciation of contemporary art forms among the general public through its gallery space, outreach programs, art residencies and travelling art shows.

We look forward to seeing you today at the gallery for the opening of ‘Mapped by Tide and Time’, a solo showcase of works by Vishakha Apte, curated by Ina Puri.

The show maps over three decades of Vishakha’s work across diverse mediums and highlights her quiet and meditative practice.

We run near to the opening of ‘Mapped by Tide and Time ( काळाची लय रेखांकीत करताना… ),’ a solo showcase of works by Vishakha Apte ( ), curated by Ina Puri ( ) on 14th April 2026, from 5 pm onwards.
Marathi translation by Sharmila Phadke ( ).

The show traces over three decades of Vishakha Apte’s practice, where fragments of the body, paper, and clay become sites of presence. A quiet meditation on material, memory, and the persistence of being.
We are delighted to be showcasing a large body of her quiet practice from the last thirty years.

Opening Reception on 14th April 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm
📍Gallery no. 2, Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Goda, Fort, Mumbai
