This is Sundar Pichai with his parents. Long back when his financial situation was not so good.

His mother worked as a stenographer but left her job after she had children. His father was an electrical engineer at a company called GEC but his family income was less than $1000 a year.

They had no TV and owned no car. They used to travel in local buses in Chennai. Sundar had to sleep in the living room with his brother as his family lived in a small apartment.

Despite challenges and difficulties, Sundar never gave up. He worked hard and got selected at prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

After IIT, he won a scholarship to study at Stanford University. In US he had to buy second hand backpack as he could not afford a $60 one that he liked.

Now he's the CEO of Alphabet - the parent company of Google, one of the biggest companies on the planet.

And, Sundar is one of the most powerful and highest paid CEOs in the world.

His life is a perfect example that talent, hard work, and perseverance can enable you to achieve virtually anything and everything in life.

Dream big and chase it relentlessly. And, never ever give up in life.
