*Complete information to secure voting right in respective Bar Association election and in the BCD election*

Respected Members,

*To secure voting right in the respective Bar Association election*

It is to inform to the esteemed members that Elections of Bar Associations of District Courts of Delhi are scheduled to be held on 19.10.2024 as per directions of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in W.P (C)/10363/2021 in which following criteria for being eligible to cast vote in the forthcoming elections are laid down: -

➤ All the voters are required to submit atleast 12 (TWELVE) appearances before courts including Supreme Court, District Courts, Tribunal's and Arbitration Tribunals over a period of 1 (one) year i.e. between 01st August, 2023 to 31st July, 2024 containing their name as either main counsel or as an assisting counsel on or before 31.07.2024.

➤ Voters are required to clear off the dues from their Own Account either through Cheque or UPI. Please note that no cash would be accepted on or before 31.07.2024 with the respective Bar Association Office.

➤ The following advocates are exempted from filing their appearances in the forthcoming elections:

a) Designated Senior Advocates

b) All Advocates who have a standing of over 25 years

c) Former Judicial Officers

➤ All the voters who are either a Partner or Associate of a Registered Law Firm need to submit a certificate from the equity partner and also submit their sixmonths salary slip.

The last date for filling-up the Verification Form/ Declaration Form of BCD is *31.07.2024*
and shall not be extended any further.
