Small things like these ~~~Claire keegan ~~though I have read many a novels about the same theme ~~foster homes ,churches but every time I read my heart goes out to the kids . I have read about Canada ,now this story tells us about Ireland. Good read .a small novella of 110 pages ,I personally prefer novels of more than 250 pages .

Reading butter ,three names by R ~~~Rika ,Reiko and Ryosuke ,feeling difficulty, it's confusing .it took me almost two months to complete it.,in between I completed three other novels. Really got bored by initial 8 chapters later on started enjoying .I think the novel is not only about food but also how one feels when ditched, feelings of women in general.
The book is aginst Japan's standard of normal weight for females on lower side ,too much rigidity in habits ,pressure on females for being perfect.
The only thing which is in your hand is to make a comeback as Rika did.. I have asked my relatives to gift me books as a minimum of 3 people read it ,as in this novel madame shares recipes.
And in general my perception of Japanese ~they are disciplined ,hard working cultured and patriotic.liked the gist of the novel.sharing few lines from the novel.
The decision not to lose weight and remain plus sized was one that demanded considerable resolve .

But there are two thingsthat i simply cannot tolerate : Feminists and margarine.
You should reach out to other people ,you should rely on others .
Helping and depending on one another is nothing to be ashamed of.
