Not many people know this.
In 2018, I was working with the Indian Football Team.
The team was at its peak — winning consistently.
In fact, we won six games in a row:
India 5–0 Chinese Taipei
India 3–0 Kenya
India 2–0 Kenya (Intercontinental Cup Final)
India 2–0 Sri Lanka
India 2–0 Maldives
India 3–1 Pakistan (SAFF Semi-Final)
And yet, there was no hype.
Stadiums were empty.
Barely any media coverage.
So much so that had to make a video pleading with Indians to support the team.
Fast forward to today — Messi comes to India, and suddenly everyone is a football expert.
And that’s our biggest problem.
We don’t support the journey.
We chase the hype.
Don’t chase the hype.
Be the hype.
