We get to appreciate the health services when we get sick and we get to avail hospital and doctor services for free. Social welfare also helps to provide shelter and protection to those who are abused, homeless and other unfortunate persons. The education system is also one of the justifiable beneficiaries of our tax money. We get to support the operation, functions and maintenance of our public schools. Economical but quality education is very important to a nation’s growth so we have to help attain this by paying our taxes. The valuable motorways and traffic lights all came from our taxes. We support their construction, repair and maintenance. The construction of public utilities and public buildings also came from our pockets. They are vital in the appropriate running of our community. Our taxes also pay for the salaries of our public officials and public servants. They are the ones that carry out the administrative, legislative and judicial roles in our country. We also pay for the people that keep our country safe, from the police officers to the military personnel. These individuals serve their lives for our welfare and protection. Our taxes also pay for their training, for their weapons, and for other defense technologies.
