Lockdown, WFH, remote working have led to many a loophole in cybersecurity for large enterprises, SMEs and Home offices alike. To counter malwares, ransomwares, hacker attacks, spends on cybersecurity (Cysec) are growing at more than 21 % yoy. The Cysec services market is expected to cross $ 7.6 B in 2022 from $ 4.3 B in 2019. While 2025 figures are pegged at $13.6 B.
Interestingly, the Cybersecurity product market is growing at more than 45 % CAGR and more than doubled between 2018 to 2020 to cross $ 1 B. The market has inherent entry barriers, evident in the fact that as of 2020 there were only 225 product startups.
