IDA Pays Tribute to Its Revered Past President

The Indian Dental Association (IDA) deeply mourns the passing of Dr. A.P. Chitre, MDS, eminent Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, distinguished academician, and former President of IDA.

Dr. Chitre served in several prestigious roles, including Honorary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to the Governor of Maharashtra and senior academic positions at leading dental institutions in India and abroad. A respected teacher, mentor, and examiner, he made immense contributions to dental education and oral surgery.

He also served as Past President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India and the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists. His leadership, dedication, and service to the profession will always be remembered.

The Indian Dental Association extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, students, and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.
