कुछ frames बिल्कुल साधारण होती हैं, लेकिन अपने भीतर एक गहरा ठहराव समेटे रहती हैं। जैसे बचपन में पढ़ी किसी हिंदी की किताब का कोई पुराना अध्याय... जहाँ सादगी में ही सबसे बड़ी कहानी छिपी होती थी। बतौर एक्टर, कैमरे के सामने इसी सादगी और सच्चाई को जीने में ही असली मज़ा आता है..

My interview with "Punjab Kesari"

I'm not even close to where I want to be, but I'm very far from where it all started.
A friend just sent me this snippet from Madhur Bhandarkar’s film 'Heroine'. I was just starting out then,to stay close to a film set to get to see and feel the atmosphere of movie set taking any tiny role to survive like any other real outsider .. ( unlike rich insiders who can portray themselves through heavy pr publicity as poor outsider who struggled a lot to get 50 cr film directly in lead roles... Sometimes I wish to tell audiences if they want to see real outsider actor vs fake ones who are actually insiders by seeing what tiny roles they did. Most of the real ones who have struggled their way to upper level you would see have done small small roles here and there to survive in bambai Nagari unlike fake ones who would directly make it to big roles 😉 )

I always believed in one thing that acting isn't about the size of the frame; it’s about the truth you bring to the moment, no matter how brief. Looking back at this reminds me of those quiet days of survival. Before the major roles with Ram Gopal Varma in Satya 2 or A.R. Rahman’s Atkan Chatkan, there was just a pure, relentless obsession with the craft.
The scale changes, but the hunger remains exactly the same. Cinema rewards patience. Grateful for every single step of this beautiful grind. 🎬🎞️
