Javed Ali

i debuted by singing a track from the movie called Beti no.1. For music director Mr. Viju Shah in 1998. After that he sang for several movies including Chameli, Dil Jo bhi Kahey, Hasil, Kyun..ho Gaya Na, Neal n Nikki, Zindagi Rocks, Golmaal among others. He was noted for his rendering of the KaJra Re… Kajra Re in the 2006 movie Bunty Aur Babli along with Alisha and Shankar Mahadevan. It has been a long and hard struggle for Javed Ali. However he has shot to real fame in 2007 with the song “Ek Din Teri Rahon main” in the Abbas-mastan film “Naqaab” composed by Pritam. After that he rendering of the Punjabi-based track “Nagada Nagada” in same year for movie Jab We Met again for pritam. In 2008 the song “ Jashn-e-Bahara” for Hrithik Roshan in the magnum opus Jodha Akbar, which is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and Oscar award winner music composer A.R. Rehman. ‘Tu Muskura” which he has sung along with Alka Yagnik from the movie Yuvraaj again from A.R.Rehman, recently, Javed Ali stuck a chord with another single composed by A. Rehman called ‘ Guzarish’ from Amir Khan’s movie Ghajani. This song is most popular song of Ghajani. He has also sung Sufi song “Arziyaan” from the film Delhi 6, which was critically appreciated worldwide. His some of hits are ‘Tu Hi Haquiqat” and “Tum Mile” film Tum Mile composed by Pritam where super hits in all the popular charts. Especially the song Ishqzaade title song, “Tera dedar huwa” in film Jannat 2, “Tera Ishq Bada Teeka” in Rowdy Rathore “Tu Hi Haquiqat” renders true magic of his enormous vocal talent. Other hit songs are “Tu Hi Meri Tamanna” for Ranbir Kapoor from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, he also sang song with A.R.Rahman “Kun Fayaa Kun” from Rockstar showing his different Sufi color. “Ranza Ranza” of Ravana, “Maiya Yashoda” of Jhootha Hi Sahi. Aakrosh, Yamala Pagala Diwana, Yeh Sali Zindagi and few more and other 50 semi hit song from different movies. Currently he is singing in 16 different Indian languages for all leading stars. He had previously sung for South Superstar Rajinikanth for movie Shivaji and Robot chart booster song ‘Kilimanjaro” for Hindi, Telgu and Tamil movie. His latest songs “Dawet E Ishq” title track is topping the charts. “Tum Tak” in film Raanjhanaa, 2 Qawali’s “Taiya Bali” in film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again, and “Murshid Khele Holi” in film D-Day were also appreciated. The year 2012 was great, in terms of awards, as he won 19th Screen Award 2012 in the Best Play Back Singer Category for song Ishqzaade titile , and winner of 4 (four) Radio Mirchi Award 2012 in categories, Best Song Representing Sufi Tradition – “Kun Faya Kun” from Rockstar, Best Indipop Song “Mera Kya Saheb Hai tera” from Dil Ki Baatein, Best Album of the year and Best Album of the Year- Mirchi listener Award for Rockstar. Uttar Pradesh Government has Honoured Javed Ali with the prestigious and one of the highest award of the state, “Yash Bharti Samman” this year. In past we won 2008 best playback singer international iifa award Macao and first Radio Mirchi award for “Jashn-E- Bahara” of Jodha Akbar and also best song of the year “Guzarish” of Ghajani. In 2012, He hosted the very popular reality show Zee SaReGaMaPa 2012 and was also appreciated, in the new role as a Host, all over. In 2011, he was his best in Zee TV - Sa Re Ga Ma pa l’ll champ series as guru (mentor) and his student from Master Ajmat Hussain from jaipur and Nitin from Himachal Pradesh both were the top three finalist and winners of l’ll champ Sa Ra Ga Ma Pa 2011.
