In keeping up with the updates regarding the regularisation of the post of Court Managers.
The Hon’ble High Court of Bombay had directed the High Court administration to make a proposal to the Maharashtra Government on urgent basis to regularise the service of court managers already appointed in the State. On being apprised by the High Court administration that the proposal is already sent to the Government, the Hon'ble Division Bench consisting of Shri. Justice G.S. Kulkarni and Hon'ble Shri. Justice Jitendra Jain directed the State Government to take a decision on the prososal so submitted by the High Court.
In the recent hearing on 13.12.2023, the Ld. Advocate General for the State of Maharashtra, Mr. Birendra Saraf appearing for the State informed the Bombay High Court that the State was committed to regularise the services of the existing Court Managers however they cannot proceed with creation of posts until they receive the necessary information from the High Court regarding the service conditions of such court managers.
Senior Adv. Shri. Talekar appearing for the petitioners pointed out that the entire framework with regard to the nature of the duties of the Court Managers was already framed by the High Court whereas the entire structure for creation of posts of court managers was already in place.
The Hon’ble High Court after considering the submissions made by the parties deemed it appropriate to direct the High Court administration to complete the rule making process as expeditiously as possible and in any case before the next date of hearing. The Hon'ble Division bench further deemed it proper to direct the Registry to place the orders passed by the division bench so that appropriate steps can be taken in that regard.
The matter is next posted for consideration on 25.01.2024, High on Board.
Maharashtra govt says Court Managers’ issue stuck due to delays from High Court The state government has clarified that without the High Court providing the rules, it cannot approve the regularisation of the Court Managers' services appropriately.
It was indeed a very happy Diwali for all those labourers and workers of Kannad Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana and for everyone at Talekar and Associates as the Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court in a historical order directed the Registry to distribute a sum of Rs. 16.12 crores to the ex-employees of the Karkhaana. We express immense gratefulness to all the staff members of the Registry who within a day of the order set up a system for verifying the names of these employees and their account details and succeeded at the colossal task of covering almost 800 employees on the first day itself.
