Here’s the simple rule:
Chimneys and hobs usually come in 600 mm (2 ft), 750 mm (2.5 ft), and 900 mm (3 ft) — and they should always match.

Most homes use a 4-burner hob (2 ft / 600 mm), which works well for compact kitchens. But as kitchens get bigger and cooking needs increase, people opt for wider hobs (750 or 900 mm) — and the chimney should scale accordingly to cover the full cooking area.

In this kitchen, we’ve used a 3 ft (900 mm) hob and chimney from Bosch .india — giving better suction, full coverage, and a strong visual statement.
