Project Vatayati - Emotional Support for Prisons
Manav Foundation in collaboration with Ankahee Helpline is looking to recruit volunteers for its Emotional Support Program in Prisons.
In over one year, the program has seen impactful results in Arthur Road Jail, Mumbai, with significant drop in suicides and prescription drugs.
We are now extending the program to Byculla Women's Prison, Mumbai.
We are looking for people who believe in inclusive care and can
☑️ Travel to the prison once a week for 4 hrs
☑️ Who can speak and write in Hindi and English. Marathi (desirable)
☑️ Who can commit to one year of volunteering and are
- above 25 years old, and
- have experience in social work, Mental Health, or related fields (preferred)
