Based in Mumbai and hailing from Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Tapas Relia has been working as a music composer, producer and singer since the last 20 years and scored music for hundreds of Ad films, plus around a dozen Movies. His latest commercial project was the hugely successful DisneyHotstar original political thriller “City Of Dreams”, which was preceded by‘Dhanak’ a movie directed by Nagesh Kukunoor
which won the 2017 National Award for the best film, and the Silver Bear at Berlinale Film Festival

His first movie in Bollywood was the path breaking Animation film ‘Hanuman’, which was India’s first ever Animation Film. Other noticeable films include Lakshmi (Nagesh Kukunoor), Ferrari Ki Sawari (Rajesh Mapuskar/Vidhu Vinod Chopra) Return Of Hanuman (Anurag Kashyap) and an acclaimed Netflix Original short film Rooting For Roona (Pavitra Chalam)

He is known for his famous advertising campaigns for brands like Close-Up (toothpaste), Domino's, Amaron Batteries, IPL, Hero Honda among others. His jingle for Close-Up (toothpaste) was a huge success, and is mentioned in the shortlist of top Indian jingles of all time. His other trend-setting campaigns include the Amaron Batteries Claymation campaign, Domino's Pizza ‘Pizza Aaye Free” campaign, Hero Honda campaign, IPL Mumbai Indians Anthem, among others. In television,Tapas has worked with all leading entertainment channels and scored over a hundred launch campaign (Ads/Promos) for prestigious shows like, Mahabharat, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 3, Big Boss, Master Chef and many more. He has also composed songs & themes for popular TV shows like, Nazar, Jaadu Hai Jin Ka, Imlie and Namak Ishq Ka. Independent Music:
In 2020, he released his first independent single ‘Yakeen Rakh Grahan Hatega’, followed by ‘Jogi Re’ and now ‘Laazmi’
