Kalamkari is a traditional folk painting style practiced in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in India from about 3000 years. It is a highly popular art form in which hand paintings are used for making narrative scrolls & panels. The legacy of the ancient form of art has been passed on from generation to generation and now applications of this painting style can be seen everywhere.

Day 1: We will introduce the art of Kalamkari & explain the detailed process of Kalamkari art. We will learn how to make the traditional tool and make the traditional colors used in Kalamkari. We will also create some beautiful bookmarks taking inspiration from the Kalamkari style of painting.

Day 2: We will create a Kalamkari Painting that can be framed and can adorn the walls in your home!
