Know your Admin
My name is Ganesh Nayak. I have close to 4 years of bicycle touring experience. I have ridden the length of the country, among its highest roads, in its jungles and along the coast.
I have just come back after spending 6 weeks of riding 1700 Kms from Chandigarh to Srinagar along a road often counted in the most treacherous in the world. I have more than 12 high altitude passes under my belt and have spent an extended period of time riding the roads of Ladhak. I have also ridden a bike in the Annapurnas of Nepal, in the deserts of Rajasthan, in the plains of Bihar, thru the erstwhile badlands of Madhya Pradesh and in the forests of the Western Ghats from Maharastra all the way down to Kerala.
I know the bike you need.
I know what you need to spend a considerable time on your bike far away from home on unknown turf.
I ride a bike everyday. I ride it in the morning, in the evening and also during the day. I have clocked in more than 20K Kilometers. I have worn out two speedometers, 4 pair of tires, more than a dozen chains and cassettes, numerous shifter and brake cables, a lot of brake pads and patched tubes countless times.
I have even worn out wheels.
I have interned at two bike stores for a combined training time of over two months.
I know a bit about bike maintenance and repair and will gladly show you all I know.
Closer home, I have lived in Manipal for the last 3 decades,.
I know its culture, people, food, roads, weather and forests at an intimate level.
I am Manipal.
Manipal is me!
