NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
India celebrates National Sports Day on 29th August to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand. The day is also dedicated to the nations’ sports heroes and champions, honoring their contribution and dedication towards bringing laurels to the country. With the aim to raise awareness about the values of sports: discipline, perseverance, sportsman spirit, teamwork, and to encourage public in large to take up sports and make it an integral part of their lives while emphasizing on the importance of being fit and healthy.
Children at St Gabriel Convent School enthusiastically participated in Races, Inter House Kho Kho, Volleyball Matches and Cricket to mark the celebration of National Sports Day!!
A special scholarship of Rs 5100 was announced for outstanding Sports' Talent in the name of Late (Shri) Som Dutt Sharma as his Death Anniversary coincides with National Sports Day. Prizes for winners will be distributed during Teachers' Day Celebrations!!

Why shouldn't we celebrate EFFORTS!!
It is with this thought in mind that we organised Annual Prize Distribution Function today (प्रयास: Efforts To Excel)!
Parents and Students along with the Staff and Management participated in the event enthusiastically!!
By the grace od Lord Almighty we closed the Academic Session 2022-23 today and we pray for an enriching experience through out the upcoming session of 2023-24!!
