KJSCE Parvaah

For the academic year 2023, Team Parvaah organized a Secret Santa Event for the kids of the Jeevan Samvardhan Foundation, Thane(w) on January 2023.

Through Parvaah KJ Somaiya College of Engineering has always encouraged its student to practice social awareness and empathy on the ground level. This visit to a girls orphanage in Thane turned out to be an experience that we will cherish forever. We learnt a lot of things from them, the major one being discipline. There were girls of all age groups and yet irrespective of their ages everyone dutifully followed their values and the prayers which they recited before eating.

They were super talented in dance and arts and we had a memorable time playing and enjoying along with them. The event culminated with the arrival of Santa Claus which was eagerly awaited by the girls and distribution of gifts in the form of food, stationary, books and useful merchandise.

With this endeavour, Team Parvaah is hopeful that its efforts will illuminate the lives of children in the Jeevan Samvardhan Foundation and fill their lives with joy, content and satisfaction during this glorious time of the year!

Education is a right of every child because it has the power to change lives!
Education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty; supporting child survival, growth, development, and well-being; and closing the gap in social inequality. But unfortunately, there is still a long way to go, as responsible citizens let's get together and pledge to work towards this cause.
