By moving away from traditional "mahajans," Mousumi is now securing renewable energy access for her own business ideas. She is planning to supply saree dyes to local weavers, ensuring they have quality inputs at a fair price while promoting water conservation in agriculture through efficient production.
She is even helping her peers understand how to navigate the solar pump price with subsidy to lower their overheads. Mousumi is proof that when women step out, the whole economy moves forward.

Chhabita Di started as a housewife in Bankura. Today, she is a celebrated leader who has transformed the lives of 3,500 women through the SwitchON Foundation and Project Udyamini.
By championing sustainable agriculture India and reviving traditions like Dhenki Chhata Rice, she has proven that rural entrepreneurship can reach international markets. Her work has built a multi-crore cooperative, turning local women into confident business owners.
In a proud moment for all of us, Chhabita Di was recently honoured by the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal at Lok Bhavan. This recognition celebrates her dedication to women’s empowerment and inclusive growth at the grassroots.
