The 373cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with a double overhead camshaft produces significantly more power and torque. Max power is 29.4kW (40PS) @ 8800rpm. The 35Nm max torque @ 6500 rpm Dominar's power comes on quickly and in a logical manner. The engine type is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. It has ample reserve power for add-on rush even at the top end. The high torque range enables low gear shifts and greater fuel efficiency while cruising. Liquid cooling avoids overheating and guarantees that performance and noise vibration-harshness (NVH) characteristics remain unchanged even after many hours of riding.

The addition of a sixth gear relieves stress on the transmission while also allowing for more relaxing travelling at high speeds. The triple spark technology offers a faster combustion rate when compared to a single or double spark layout. The fuel injection ensures air-fuel mixture to optimize combustion efficiency and offer the best fuel economy for the machine.The four-valve engine ensures that the engine breathes easy even while it is being revved to the limits, right up to the higher rpm’s. The city mileage of the Dominar 400 is 26.50 kmpl and the highway mileage is 34 kmpl. It accelerates from 0-100kmph in 7.1 seconds and the transmission type is manual.
