হোমবাউন্ডের স্ক্রিনিংয়ের পর আলোচনা হলো ঋত্বিক ঘটককে নিয়ে। প্রসঙ্গ: আবার কেন ঋত্বিক? রণদীপ দা বললেন, ঋত্বিক হলেন ইতিহাস, স্মৃতি ও শেকড় ভুলিয়ে দেওয়ার যে অভিসন্ধি, তার বিরুদ্ধে তীব্র প্রতিবাদ। সংঘমিত্রা দি বললেন, ঋত্বিক ছিলেন অনন্য একারণেই যে সাধারণ জনগণের প্রতি ছিল তাঁর অকৃত্রিম, আন্তরিক, সিনসিয়ার আবেগ যা আদর্শগত উপলব্ধি, নিষ্ঠা এবং কমিটমেন্ট ছাড়া সম্ভব নয়। আলোচনার পরিসরেই যে কথা উঠে এলো, তা হলো, আমরা শুধু সিনেমা, ছবি নিয়ে কথা বলব, অথচ তার পেছনে যে প্রক্রিয়াটা কাজ করছে সেটার অনুসন্ধান করবো না; যে সংগ্রামটা আদর্শগত, যে সংগ্রামটা বহু দ্বন্দ্বের মধ্য দিয়ে সৃষ্টি করলো এমন শিল্প, তার মূল সুরটার অনুসন্ধান করবো না, নিজেদেরকেও সেই সংগ্রামে নিয়োজিত করবো না, এটা কখনোই সততার লক্ষণ হতে পারে না। তাই, অনুসন্ধান করতে হবে সেই চেতনার, চর্চা করতে হবে সেই সততার, যেটা শিল্পকে করে শক্তিশালী, কারণ তা সব কিছুর আগে হয় সত্যনিষ্ঠ। তাই সে সুন্দর। নচেৎ, নয়।

We're forever busy quoting them, rarely getting to work. It's the birth centenary of our maestro, and we call upon everybody to go beyond empty reiterations, to burn like Ritwik, to rage like him, to cry and weep like him. We call upon artists, to declare your agendas, for you surely have one, and then, get to work. Let every stroke of brush, every note on the octave, every frame, every rhyme, every metaphor, rave and burn at the face of an unsettled world. Let art loose, then we shall see what it creates.
