National Award-winning filmmaker Rajdeep Paul needs no introduction. Together, Rajdeep and Sarmistha have created some of the most important films in contemporary Indian cinema, and they have still been waging this battle on their own terms.

Over the years, they have closely witnessed how our workshop mentor Rana Pratap Karforma sees, thinks, and creates as a cinematographer and, more importantly, as a co-creator. They gave him the freedom to explore, experiment, fail, grow, and ultimately “reach the sky.”

From independent films to deeply personal journeys, this relationship has been built on trust, understanding, and a shared love for cinema.

It would be best to hear directly from Rajdeep about Rana’s journey through the years, how he has evolved as an artist, and why he now wishes to share that experience with a new generation of filmmakers through this workshop.
