Why Applied Electronics and Instrumentation?

Applied Electronics emphasizes applying the knowledge, both theory and practicals of Electronics and Instrumentation to achieve solutions to real world problems. Students will gain expertise in practical implementation of various fundamental principles of electronics and its methods. They will learn about commercial and industrial devices such as Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and Electronic Instruments that can be used for measurement and control. They also learn about Programmable Logic Controllers, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, and Distributed Control Systems which are capable of running industrial production systems that are spread over large geographical distances. They will become familiarized with Automation, Virtual Instrumentation with LabVIEW and many modern developments such as Internet Of Things.
