Kasaragod Institute of Medical Science was established in August, 1980 by a group of skilled doctors who ultimately focus on clinical excellence as well as quality medical care and service to the society.KIMS has a humble beginning as a 20 beded hospital with departments including general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopedics and allergy clinic.Today, KIMS has developed into a multidisciplinary hospital with 100 beds and advanced medical technologies.
