क्या ट्रंप Greenland को लेकर गंभीर हैं?
तथ्य समझिए।
Greenland दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा द्वीप है, लेकिन यह अमेरिका का हिस्सा नहीं है। यह डेनमार्क का एक स्वायत्त क्षेत्र है और स्थानीय आबादी भी अमेरिकी नियंत्रण के पक्ष में नहीं रही है।
2019 से डोनाल्ड ट्रंप बार-बार यह कहते रहे हैं कि Greenland अमेरिका के लिए रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण है।
इसके पीछे कुछ प्रमुख कारण बताए जाते हैं -
Arctic क्षेत्र में रूस और चीन की बढ़ती गतिविधियाँ,
Pituffik (पूर्व में Thule) जैसे अमेरिकी सैन्य बेस की मौजूदगी,
और समुद्री व वाणिज्यिक सुरक्षा मार्गों पर नियंत्रण की अहमियत।
हकीकत यह है कि Greenland पहले से ही अमेरिका के साथ रक्षा सहयोग का हिस्सा है, जो 1951 के समझौते के तहत चलता है।
किसी स्वायत्त या संप्रभु क्षेत्र को खरीदना अंतरराष्ट्रीय कानून के तहत व्यावहारिक रूप से संभव नहीं है।
डेनमार्क और Greenland के नेतृत्व ने साफ कहा है कि यह क्षेत्र बिक्री के लिए नहीं है।
हाल के बयानों से यह जरूर संकेत मिलता है कि ट्रंप प्रशासन Greenland को लेकर अलग-अलग रणनीतिक विकल्पों पर बात करता रहा है, जिनमें आर्थिक या खोजी विकल्प शामिल हो सकते हैं, लेकिन किसी ठोस योजना या रूप-रेखा की पुष्टि नहीं हुई है।
निष्कर्ष यह है कि Greenland को लेकर ट्रंप की रुचि केवल खरीद तक सीमित नहीं है। यह वैश्विक रणनीति, शक्ति संतुलन और Arctic क्षेत्र में सुरक्षा प्रतिस्पर्धा से जुड़ा विषय है। लेकिन Greenland के लिए संप्रभुता का सवाल सबसे ऊपर है, और इसी वजह से वहां तीखी प्रतिक्रियाएँ देखने को मिली हैं।
वैश्विक राजनीति को केवल सुर्खियों के आधार पर नहीं, बल्कि तथ्यों और संदर्भ के साथ समझना ज़रूरी है। यह भी सोचने की ज़रूरत है कि आज की दुनिया में सुरक्षा, संसाधन और वैश्विक संतुलन में सबसे ज्यादा अहम क्या है।
