Red Ribbon Club of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control society today organized a Poster making competition and Rangoli competition in the institution to commemorate the Worlds AIDS Day – 2024 in which more than 100 students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and expressed their thoughts through Posters and Rangoli. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Jammu interacted with the students and educate them regarding how to combat with the disease. The theme of the competition was "Take the Right Path".
The main aim for the event was to make the students aware that HIV continues to be global health concern due to a number of shortcomings, including division, inequality and contempt for human rights and we need to aware the masses for the same. After that the certificate were distributed among the winners and the participants for their volunteer participation to eradicate HIV-AIDS from the society. During this event Er. Inderjeet Singh Workshop Superintendent, Er Sukhdeep Singh HOD Civil Engineering Department, Er. Manjeet Singh HOD Electrical Department, Er. Raj Kumar HOD Mechanical Department were present. The programme was organized by Er. Sanam Gupta, I/c Red Ribbon Club, Er. Sakshi Kapahi, Er. Sajjad Hussain, Ar. Manu Rajput, Er. Arshad Ranja, Er. Itika Sharma, Chamel Singh, and Toshi Devi the members of Red Ribbon Club, Government Polytechnic Jammu.

CIIIT Jammu today organised an industrial visit and awareness program for 45 students from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Udhampur. Accompanied by their instructors, the students explored the CIIIT Jammu facilities and infrastructure, gaining valuable insights into various fields, including Design/CAD Engineering, Robotics, Electric Vehicles, Digital Manufacturing, Internet of Things, Advanced Manufacturing, Mechatronics & Internet of things, Home Appliances, Product Verification & Analysis, Product Lifecycle Management, and Value Engineering & Benchmarking.

Review Meeting of Academic (ND-24 Session) of Electrical Engineering Department.
Principal Er. Arun Bangotra chaired a comprehensive academic review meeting of Electrical Engineering Department for the ND-24 session with the Faculty/staff of Electrical Engineering Department to evaluate the academic progress of Electrical Engineering Department and plan for improvements. The meeting aimed to ensure high standards of education and effective student learning outcomes. Key highlights of the meeting include:
1. Assessment of syllabus completion for all departments. Focus on aligning teaching methods with the latest curriculum updates .
2. Student Performance: Analysis of internal assessment results and attendance trends.
Identification of students requiring additional academic support. Discussion on organizing remedial classes and mentorship programs.
3.Faculty Performance and Development: Review of faculty members’ teaching effectiveness through feedback and self-assessment.
Emphasis on professional development through seminars, workshops, and faculty training programs. Encouragement for faculty to engage in research and development activities.
4.Infrastructure Resource Utilization: Review of laboratory facilities, ensuring proper maintenance and upgrading equipment as needed. Discussion on improving library resources, including digital access to journals and e-books. Examination of IT infrastructure to enhance e-learning opportunities.
5. Placements:-Focus on organizing industry-oriented training, workshops, and internships for students. Planning campus placement drives and strengthening the institute’s relationship with industry partners. Implementation of soft skills and personality development programs to improve employability.
6.Examination Preparations: Review of plans for upcoming internal and external examinations
7. Student Feedback and Suggestions:- Inclusion of feedback from students on academic and non-academic aspects. Identification of actionable areas based on student suggestions to enhance the overall learning experience.
8. Future Goals and Action Plan:- Setting short-term and long-term academic goals. Defining deadlines for implementing identified improvements.
The meeting concluded with the Principal emphasizing teamwork and a collective effort to achieve academic excellence and holistic development of students.

Two days free eye checkup camp was organised by college in collaboration with SHAH EYE CENTRE under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra in which the students of all the semester and faculty of college got their free eyes check up. The camp was coordinated by Er.Amit gupta, civil department), Ar.Saba sheikh, Manu rajput Architecture department, Er.Vishal sharma Mechanical department, Sh.Chamel singh physical education master, Mrs.Toshi devi Physical education master. Students were made well aware about the problems and their solutions faced with regarding their eyes. Students thanked the college administration for such camps which help the students in their overall smooth development with respect to their studies and health.
