Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Dismantles Illegal Commercial Shutter in Bakshi Nagar
The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) continued its rigorous enforcement drive against illegal modifications and structural encroachments across Jammu city. In a recent operation conducted in the busy market area of Bakshi Nagar, JMC’s anti-encroachment wing dismantled a large metal rolling shutter that had been installed outside a commercial building without obtaining any mandatory official permissions or building approvals from the municipal authorities.Reports indicate that the action followed a formal complaint regarding an ongoing property dispute in the area, after which multiple notices were reportedly served to the parties involved. Following a lack of compliance, the JMC team arrived at the spot to remove the unauthorized structure, leaving the damaged metal shutter on the pavement. Municipal officials reiterated that while routine checks on roadside vendors continue, strict legal actions will also be enforced against unapproved structural alterations to commercial properties.
