Jaipur, India, and visit to the City Palace and Hawa Mahal. Jaipur is known as the Pink City and I can see that in the photos! At this point in the trip, I am sort of running on fumes, but an afternoon rest after the palace visit gave me the energy for a fabulous last dinner in Jaipur.

Jaipur Rugs invited us to visit and learn more about the process of rug making in Rajasthan. We toured the showroom and had a visit with NK Chaudhary, the founder of Jaipur Rugs and visionary business leader. Back into the bus for a drive out into a village to meet weavers in a local collective. After lunch, we visited the finishing building, where we saw cutting, trimming, and washing of the rugs. Our evening ended with visit to a Jaipur Rugs Gallery to see the fiber art installation for Jaipur Art Week.
I didn’t like the way instagram scrunched up my photos in my post yesterday, so here is a different format for my tour adventure through Old Delhi!
Yesterday we walked through Old Delhi with a great guide, Aman, , who helped us move through the very crowded spaces. Chandni Chowk is busy, and having someone who knows the area made a huge difference!
We visited a Gurudwara, a Sikh temple that is open to everyone; rode in a rickshaw; and stopped in family run shops that have been part of the market for generations.
We ate street food (!), including samosas, jalebi, paratha, mango lassi, and also walked through the spice market surrounded by piles of chilies. It was a terrific experience!

Classic Kitchen Charm! Our client had been dreaming about a kitchen that felt calm, functional, and inviting, a place to explore new recipes and gather with family. We reimagined the layout, refreshed the cabinetry, and layered in soft green tones, porcelain counters, and handmade tile to bring lasting warmth. Timeless design!

A dark, cramped powder room and a disorganized laundry room were combined into one Luxe Laundry Retreat. This transformation shows how functional and classic design can elevate everyday spaces.
We added a full shower for guests, a deep sink for hand-washing and utility tasks, and durable finishes that will last for years. Storage was designed to support daily use with pull-out folding tables, closed cabinets, a hanging bar, and even task lighting under the cabinets. Neutral finishes and a monochrome palette expand the space visually while keeping the look timeless.
This project is proof that the hardest-working rooms in the house can also feel calm and classic.
