The studio was founded by Late Laxmi Kant Gupta. He started working as a photographer since 1960 and set up a small studio at Samdrup Jhonkar, Bhutan and named the firm as Gupta Studio, which is still looked after by his eldedt son Mr. Raju Gupta.
