ITANAGAR, July 2: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Capital District Unit, along with its Itanagar and NaharlagunโNirjuli Mandal Units, has contributed โน1,98,980 to the HMLA Relief Care initiative to support families affected by the recent flash floods in Keyi Panyor district.
The contribution was handed over under the leadership of BJYM Capital District President Oie Jerang as part of the ongoing relief efforts for flood-hit communities.
Expressing gratitude, Keyi Panyor MLA Toko Tatung thanked the BJYM team for their generous support and described the donation as a shining example of unity and collective responsibility during times of crisis.
He said that when people face hardships, society rises above political affiliations and religious differences to stand together as one. Tatung also acknowledged the support of 13th Itanagar Constituency MLA Techi Kaso and the BJP Papum Pare Capital District President for backing the humanitarian initiative.
The MLA noted that such collective efforts reflect the spirit of compassion and solidarity and inspire others to contribute towards relief and rehabilitation. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to the entire BJYM Capital District team for their dedicated service and commitment to the welfare of the affected families through the HMLA Relief Care initiative.

Itanagar: Corporator Nangbia Sagnu has appealed to all shop owners in Ward No. 12 to paint their shop shutters sky blue in accordance with the directive issued by the Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC).
He urged traders and business establishments to extend their full cooperation in implementing the initiative, stating that maintaining a uniform appearance will enhance the overall beauty, cleanliness, and visual appeal of the market area. He also requested all concerned to complete the painting work at the earliest in compliance with the IMC's order.
Additionally, Corporator Sagnu appealed to the Power Department and the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department to consult the ward members before erecting any electric poles or laying pipelines within Ward No. 12. He said such coordination would help ensure proper planning, avoid inconvenience to residents, and facilitate the smooth ex*****on of developmental works.
Speaking on the long-pending ward boundary issue, Sagnu also addressed the demarcation between Wards No. 9 and 12. He urged the concerned authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest through proper consultation and official demarcation, saying that a clear boundary would help avoid confusion, ensure better administration, and promote coordinated development in both wards.

Itanagar, July 1: The 13-Itanagar Constituency Youth Association (13-ICYA) organised a one-day donation drive across Itanagar and nearby areas to support families affected by the recent flash floods in Possa and Pirapool under Keyi Panyor district.
The devastating flash floods claimed three lives, left two persons still missing, and caused extensive damage to numerous houses and properties.
The donation drive was led by Vice President Bakey Kepo as the Organising Chairman and Yura Lucky as the Organising Secretary, along with executive members Taring Maha, Jikke Tagio, Nangram Josh, Akin Techi, and Pakmi Kamki.
Through the public contribution campaign, the association collected โน26,650, which was handed over to the PRO of 16-Yachuli MLA Toko Tatung for relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Speaking to the media, Organising Chairman Bakey Kepo thanked the people of Itanagar for their overwhelming support and generous response to the initiative. He said the contribution, though modest, reflects the spirit of unity and compassion shown by the public towards the flood-affected families.
He also appealed to the public to continue stepping forward during such emergencies and humanitarian crises, emphasizing that collective support and timely assistance can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by natural disasters.
